Vamos a la playa

After a few days in Havana, we decided it’s time to go to our second destination → Varadero. We arrived at our resort, and soon after we checked in and left our luggage in the room, we went for a little tour of the resort, and to check out the beach, of course. After months and months of studying, passing final exams and getting a degree, can you imagine a better reward then lying and relaxing on the beach with a cocktail in your hand? Me neither. 😉

Our way to the beach was filled with flowers, plants and palm trees. It seemed like a road to paradise to me, as I came there in November while in my country was snowing.

At the entrance to the beach is a charming beach bar where you can have refreshments for free with hotel bracelet. All kinds of cocktails, juices and water were available here.

4

Even though we stayed in Varadero for 10 days, we managed to be here on the beach just a few times because the rest of the days we spent exploring the other parts of the island.

5

Varadero beach is known as one of the largest resort areas in the Caribbean. I heard that some call Varadero beach the world’s greatest beach, and it’s easy to see why. Let pictures speak for themselves, because there is no enough words to describe how gorgeous it is.

Most of the time we spent lying on the sunbeds, tanning, reading the books and enjoying the incredible scenery. Few times I told my friend just to pinch me, because it looked to good to be true.

This Piña colada was made right in front of me. I was impressed. You just stop a guy who drives a ‘car’ (sort of) with ‘cocktail station’ on the back and you can choose whether you like your cocktail to be served in a pineapple or coconut. How exotic is that, right?

15

In the most cases this was our lunch because spending all day at the sun can be a bit exhausting and fruit came like a perfect sweet refreshment.

Well, I am a huge fan of any kind of beach accessories, and this Cuban style head piece made me feel like a part of this exotic scenery. Silly, I know, but I love it!

As you can tell I am also a huuuge fan of palm trees. I simply adore them and can be nothing but happy seeing them around me.

Cool tropical breezes, tranquil Atlantic waters and other beach activities there provide enjoyment for everyone.

23

True paradise whether you are just walking along the beach or enjoy swimming.

24

Crystal clear turquoise water looks literally unrealistic and attracts you to dip into it. Absolutely stunning.

This beautiful beach is made for enjoying and relaxing and that was exactly what I needed when I came here after a hectic schedule before. Although we spent only a few days at Varadero beach, it was more than enough to relax and recharge batteries.

Thank you for a fabulous time Varadero! It would be a pleasure seeing you again.

¡Hasta pronto!
