Our last, but not the least was the excursion in which dolphins play a main role. Definitely the excursion I was looking forward to the most.
The transfer bus picked us up early in the morning in the hotel lobby and we went to Marina Gaviota where we embarked on a Catamaran.
After a short sailing we stop for → snorkeling. I was so impatient to meet the dolphins and was in a mood ‘Okay, short stop, and then DOLPHINS’.
Snorkeling was nice (I liked more the underwater life at Cayo Largo) and when we were all on board again we navigated to → Cayo Blanco. I was like ‘Whaaaat?! WHERE are the dolphins? I wanna see them’ and one guy told me that Cayo Blanco is our second stop where was planned to have a lunch (included in the price) and some beach time and third and final stop will be interacting with dolphins. Well, obviously I didn’t pay much attention of the total itinerary for that day and the only thing I heard was ‘swimming with the dolphins’ (ooops!).
The name totally suits this beach, beautiful white and bright sand everywhere. It was like you are watching a screensaver picture on the computer. So unreal view.
The view during the lunchtime was incredible…
…and the food was delicious.
And then, we had free time for the beach..
And some cocktails of course..
After sailing, snorkeling, beach time and nice lunch it was FINALLY time for dolphins.
When we arrived there we realized that it is not actually a ‘swimming with dolphins’ kind of thing but more like the show during which you can touch and caress them and be rewarded with a hug and kiss. At that time, it didn’t matter anymore, because all I wanted was to see them closer.
They are sooo smooth and like they are made of rubber..
Aaaaand I got a kiss from dolphin. I was happy like a child (maybe even more, if that is possible). The most fabulous experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. I was so thrilled. I am so grateful I had an opportunity to experience it and made a memory like that for a lifetime. They are so friendly, intelligent and absolutely adorable. Hope I will get a chance to experience it somewhere again, because I totally fell in love with them.
When we were all on board we navigate back to Varadero. Everyone was happy and in a good mood and on the way back we danced salsa with our captain, enjoyed the cheerful music and talked how life is amazing to give us opportunities like this one.
This excursion was definitely icing on the cake for this magnificent vacation. Cuba has so much to offer and you will not regret choosing to visit this exotic destination.
Someone had this incredible experience too? Where was it? Write me in the comments your experiences..
