When someone mention UAE and Abu Dhabi, the first thing that comes to my mind is desert. 🐪 I didn’t know much about this city, like what I can do there and visit. So when my friend Sanja invited me to come, my first thought was ‘Great, beach already in March’. 😊 If you didn’t figured it out throughout my blogging yet, I am a huuuuge fan of sun, beach, palm trees and everything related to it. But who could blame me? 🌞 So, I was really looking forward to it.
Here is a list of things I did and visited while was in Abu Dhabi, just in case there are more people like I was before going there. 😊
There are many more things, but I always write to you guys only about things I had a chance to experience.
So, let’s start:
Heritage Village
In this village you can take a glimpse into the emirate’s past. It’s a place with replicas of handcrafts stores, desert village, traditional buildings, wooden boats, etc.
We had so much fun at the replica of desert village, as you can tell.
Corniche beach
Corniche beach is located in the city, and it’s public beach. The Corniche is a long promenade by the sea and it’s so nice and clean with a lot of palm trees. So pleasant for walking.
The entrance to the beach costs 10 AED (if I remember well). The beach was not crowded at all. We had a whole beach for ourselves. That usually was not a case at the beaches I visited before, so we enjoyed it.
You can choose weather you want to enjoy an amazing skyline at one side…
…or the turquoise sea view on the other side. Tough choice, I know. 😉 This beach also has a Blue Flag status – which is a guarantee of clean water and safe bathing area.
Sheikh Zayed Mosque
This Mosque is something the most impressive I’ve ever seen. It is enormous and so beautiful that I can’t even describe it.
It is also so nicely decorated. Everything around you is so clean, spacious and luminous.
And this is for sure one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever been to.
Saadiyat Beach
It is a lovely wide beach with crystal clear water. We spent there almost a whole day relaxing and having fun in the sun.
I like to write in the sand and capture it. Lately, that is something that become one of my ‘things to do’. Now, I have a whole collection of it. 😊 It’s for me another precious souvenir from places I visited.
YAS Island
Yas beach, set on the Yas island is one of my favorite we visited. I mean, you can see why. It has all you need. It’s a beach with white sand, amazing beach cabanas, sunbeds, lazy bags, great music, beach bar with cocktails, restaurant, water sports, should I continue more? 😊
Desert Safari
Desert safari is something I highly recommend. You simply cannot miss it. It was an A-H-mazing experience I will never forget. I will write a post about it soon, and will give you more information about the whole experience.
Nightlife
We had great time at night, too. If you visit Abu Dhabi, you cannot skip the nightlife.
The clubs in Abu Dhabi are amazing. Some of the clubs we visited are: Sax, Crystal, Rush, Pearls and Caviar,..
Of course, there are a lot more places I want to visit and things I want to do there, such as visiting Ferrari world and Yas Waterworld. But I wouldn’t mind visiting some places again.
So, I hope I will come back soon. It really is a special place.
Who else visited Abu Dhabi? What is your favorite place there?
More about UAE experiences coming soon.. Stay tuned..
